About Izabela
I am a queer therapist with a deep commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy to individuals over the age of 22 navigating complex trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and LGBTQ+ issues.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma lens; I recognize how past and ongoing traumatic experiences shape a person’s emotional, mental, and relational well-being. I am particularly focused on helping clients work through complex PTSD, which often arises from prolonged or repeated trauma, and its impact on self-worth, relationships, and daily functioning.
My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Somatic Therapy, tailored to your needs and experiences.
I am also deeply passionate about social justice and political advocacy. I recognize that systemic issues—such as inequality, discrimination, and oppression—can significantly impact mental health. I am committed to being aware of how these forces affect you, and I integrate this awareness into our work together.
I strive to create an environment where you can feel heard, validated, and empowered to reclaim your sense of self and agency. I am, more than anything, a relational therapist: I bring humor, real-life examples, and genuine reactions into the room to build a collaborative, authentic, and safe therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing happens within the context of a strong and trusting connection, where we can explore your experiences, emotions, and goals together.
